I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

    • Need help with how to use CategoryFilters creating using the /classify/create_category_filter endpoint to classify text

      Need help with how to use CategoryFilters creating using the /classify/create_category_filter endpoint to classify text. Once the filters are created how can a text document be tested against each one to determine which category the text belongs to.

        Hi ncase,

        In order to classify a new document, you should create the semantic representation of the document and compare it to the each of the filters.

        You have probably already figured out that the /text endpoint can be used for getting the semantic positions for a text, and that you can obtain the same by using the /expressions endpoint by putting the input as {"text": “Here is a the text content”}.

        In the /compare endpoint you can compare entities formatted in our syntax as for example:
        [
        {
        “positions”: [3, 5, 25, 26, … , 15894]
        },
        {
        “text”: “Gustav Klimt was born in Baumgarten, near Vienna in Austria-Hungary, the second of seven children”
        }
        ]

        so you could put the positions of one filter there as well as the new text (or the semantic representation of that new text).

        The endpoint /compare/bulk will take a list of such…

      • Absolute boundaries for weighted Scoring?

        I am experimenting with the Cortical Compare API. I have a Gold standard with similarity scores from 0 to 5. In order to compare, I'd like to scale the API output to these values. This is straight-forward for metrics (Euclidian, Cosine, Jaccard) with-predefined scales (0 to 1), but not for the weighted scores. Are there absolute limits (e.g. 0-1000) for that score? Similar for overlapping, although the theoretical is clear (the fingerprint size).

            Hi Lund,

            How are you setting the PYTHONPATH? Are you using the export command e.g:

            Peters-MacBook-Pro:unit Peter$ echo $PYTHONPATH

            Peters-MacBook-Pro:unit Peter$ export PYTHONPATH=/Users/Peter/cortical-io/python-client-sdk
            Peters-MacBook-Pro:unit Peter$ echo $PYTHONPATH
            /Users/Peter/cortical-io/python-client-sdk
            Peters-MacBook-Pro:unit Peter$ pwd
            /Users/Peter/cortical-io/python-client-sdk/tests/unit
            Peters-MacBook-Pro:unit Peter$ python testRestinasApi.py
            .
            -—————————————————————————————————-
            Ran 1 test in 0.125s

            OK
            Peters-MacBook-Pro:unit Peter$

            Best regards
            Team Vienna

            Is it possible to cluster texts (search results) like in the Carrot2 Framework http://project.carrot2.org/ ? (Live-Demo: http://search.carrot2.org/stable/search?q=Vienna ).

            I try to extract concepts from comments in social networks.

            • Can I use cortical.io for short text clustering?

              I have a lots of short texts (500 chars). I would like to group the text by meaning, not only by words - like I do now. I think cortical.io would be perfect for the job. I'm I wrong?

              • Can I use this to encode a repairs database? Would it be possible?

                I am thinking of using Retina to encode a set of symptoms/solutions (think of a repair database) I have a large set of records that field engineers filled after each customer visit. I would like to use the data with retina to encode those records and then be able to enter new symptoms and have the system "suggest" possible solutions that would match the inputed symptoms.

                Not sure if I am making any sense!

                Would that be possible?

                Thanks.

                Mo
